Eugenia L. Rulander, 79, of Pittsfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, October 4, 2017 at her residence.

She was born August 7, 1938 in Titusville, Pa., a daughter to the late Eugene and Matilda (Weiland) Jacobson. Eugenia started working at the furniture factory in Youngsville and then at the New Process Co. in customer service for over 25 years. After retiring from there she then went on to do home health care for a number of years.  She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church in Youngsville, and was a faithful blood donor.  She enjoyed picking fruit for canning, cooking and collecting owls.  Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was her greatest joy.

She is survived by her husband Lester Rulander, whom she married October 6, 1960 in Starbrick, her children; Kevin (Laurie) Rulander of Pittsfield, Fred (Renee) Rulander of Tidioute and Juliane (David) Szubinski of Erie, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Christine Armstrong.
Friends will be received on Saturday from 11-1 pm at the St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 343 East Main St. in Youngsville, at which time, a funeral service will be held there with the  Fr. Matthew Scott, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Davey Hill Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the St. Francis Church, Hospice of Warren Co. PO Box 68 Warren, Pa. 16365 or the giving of blood to your local blood bank. The Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Youngsville have been entrusted with all arrangements. Condolences to the family may be made atwww.nelsonfuneralhome.net

my condolences to your family from my family. My Mother

Look up to the sky
Now tell me what you see
A cloud, the moon, possibly the sun
Many answers there will be

When I look up to the sky
I'll tell you what I see
I see my mother
And she's looking back at me

She tells me she didn't want to leave us
But it was time for her to depart
It was the hardest thing she had to do
And it's breaking her heart

She tells me we mustn't be sad
Because finally she's pain free
She's found her place in heaven
Underneath a blossom tree

She'll always be there to guide us
When we feel we've lost the way
She'll always be there to comfort us
And wipe those tears away

She'll always be there to share our joy
And laugh at the jokes we make
In order to feel her presence
Only a little imagination it'll take

She may be in the form of a butterfly
Or simply a floating feather
Or hovering over like a busy bee
Or simply part of the weather

You've all come here to say your farewell
But for me it's not goodbye
If I want to see her, all I have to do
Is look up to the sky

Sweet dreams, Mam

Dear Laurie & Kevin and Lester, She was a most beautiful angel on earth, and is now with Our Lord. She has always made me want to be a better person.

Thank you Jeanne for the constant loving care and attention you gave to my mother, your Aunt Christine, when our family members were at the distance and couldn't be there. You and your family are in my prayers.
