Mildred Pesko Obituary

Mildred Ann “Millie” Pesko, 92, of Youngsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Warren General Hospital.

She was born on April 3, 1931, in Warren, PA, a daughter to the late Alex and Eva (Lozinksi) Pesko. Millie lived in Warren County all of her life. She graduated from Warren High School in 1949 and went to her 70th class reunion in September of 2019.

Millie worked several years at the New Process Company, Pesko Watch and Clock Shop, Interlectric Corporation and many many years at Edgewood Motel and Restaurant. She was a member of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking as she had a cookbook collection and liked trying new recipes. She enjoyed polka music and dancing. When she was able to dance, she was a former member of the North Central Pennsylvania Polka Boosters Club.

Millie also enjoyed going on bus trips with the seniors, selling tickets for several organizations, watching the birds, playing bingo at the Rouse Home as well as many other activities while at the Rouse Home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Mary Pesko and her long time companion, Paul Leofsky as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Millie is survived by several cousins and friends who were special to her including, Pauline Sundquist, Emmie Keller, Helen Illy, Mimi Illy, Joann Hultquist, Bobbie Illy and Jackie Sampsell, Ed Sundquist, Diane Maturo, Joesph Kelwaski and Dan Evinczik.

Visitation will be held at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 410 N Main St, Youngsville, PA 16371 on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 10-11am at which time a Memorial Mass will take place there with the Fr. Richard Tomasone, Pastor, officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church, the Rouse Warren County Home, 701 Rouse Avenue, Youngsville, PA 16371 or to a charity of choice.
