Marian Lucille Aberg of Sanford, North Carolina, and formerly of Corry, passed away quietly at home on Friday, February 19, 2021.  She was with her family until she was taken to heaven to be united with her Lord.

Marian was born on July 7, 1925 in Pittsfield, Pennsylvania to Henry and Gladys Danielson. Living in Pittsfield throughout her youth, she graduated from Youngsville High School in 1944, then went to Washington D.C to work for the FBI. Family was very important to Marian.  Adoring her parents, and having six younger sisters, she cared for their families as if they were her own. She will be deeply missed by all those privileged to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Aberg, her sisters Myrtle Danielson and Mildred Graves

She is survived by her three children Lynne Ann Mattioli (David) of Liberty, North Carolina; John (Jack)Aberg (Margie) of Sanford, North Carolina; and Stacey Durrell (Kevin) of Sanford, North Carolina.  She is also survived by her five grandchildren whom she loved Andy, Mike, Jeff, Hannah, and Elizabeth, her sisters, Mae (Earl) Arnold of Richmond,  Kentucky, Martha Koehler of  Keystone Heights, Fla., Midge Nelson of Youngsville,  Marie (Dave) Lewis of Cedar Key Fla., and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Jubilee Worship Center in Greensboro, North Carolina on February 28, 2021 at 2pm,  with the Pastor Carolyn Lee, officiating.   Services in Pennsylvania will be held later this year, with a burial in Riverside Cemetery in Pittsfield.

Dear Lynne and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate your mom’s life. Your mother was such a special lady. I can still see her and hear her voice in your Corry house, during the times I spent there. The world was a better place with your mom in it. She’ll get to join your dad now. Bless you all.
