Mary Stec Bosko, 71, of Warren passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House, in Warren, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Warren, PA on September 23, 1946, a daughter to the late Frank and Helen (Kushner) Stec. Mary graduated from Youngsville High School and went on to work 8 years as a secretary at New Process and National Forge, then later as a secretary for Public Works and Engineering with the city of Warren, for 28 years.
Her greatest Joy was spending time with her daughter and grandchildren in South Carolina, as well as their visits to their home in Warren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sharing recipes, meeting for lunch with her retired friends from work and sewing with her quilting friends

She especially enjoyed good times with her husband and their mutual friends, as well as her sisters and family who were always there for her. Mary was a member of the Holy Redeemer Church and helped with the funeral dinner ministry.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Bosko, of 50 years; a daughter, Julie Lynn Cox of Simpsonville, SC; two grandchildren, Claire Madelyn Cox and Samuel Cory Cox; three siblings, Joseph (Karen) Stec of Toledo, OH, Barbara (Tim) Greenlund of Harmony, PA and Linda (Dean) Spiridon of Warren, PA. Mary is further survived by many beloved nieces, nephews and long cherished friends who were always supportive through her cancer battle. Her little dog, Lucy, provided Mary with much love and comfort as well.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Stec and a sister-in-law, Sharon Devore Stec.

Friends may call at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church,  on Monday, July 9, 2018 from 9:00-11:00am at which time a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated there with the Fr. Rev. James Gutting, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Warren County, PO Box 68, Warren, PA 16365; Holy Redeemer Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA 16365 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

We are so very sorry to hear of Mary's death. We did not know she had cancer. I remember when we were on the May Court together with Mary and you, John, so many years ago. We had lunch together when I went back home to see my mom and it was special. I enjoyed our talk and she showed me her flowers in your yard.

Our hearts go out to you and her family.

With Sympathy,

Ruth and Brent Borton

I wish to express my deepest sympathies to John and all the family over Mary's death.. I did not know she had cancer. When I first learned of her passing I immediately had a mental glimpse of seeing Mary and John walking hand in hand out onto the dance floor at a YHS Sock Hop. I suppose that says how many years have passed but we were all classmates and close friends and as I reflect on those days Mary and John fill those memories. Mary was such a kind and sweet girl with a smile for everyone and kindness for all. I will always remember her with love in my heart and happiness for all the years she had with John and her family.. I cherish those years we had together and will keep her memory close to me.

Dear John, Julie and the Stec and Bosko families,
Even though the years have flown by so quickly the wonderful memories of you as a couple live on vividly. Mary always had a beautiful smile and kind words to share. Her laughter was a joyful sound to share.
We have lost a precious angel her on earth but now our angel lives forever in heaven. John my prayers are with you and the family. Marys spirit will always be alive in your heart and all of our hearts that had the privilege of sharing our lives with her. May you feel surrounded by love and kindness during this difficult time.
