Howard C. Johnson, 70, of Yankee Bush Rd., Warren, met his loving Savior in heaven on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

Howard was born August 12, 1947 in Warren to the late Clarence and Marie (Yeagle) Johnson. He was a graduate of WAHS and excelled at electronics and received high honors in correspondence courses at NRI and CIE.  Howard worked at Rexnord in the electronics and maintenance for 33 years. Howard loved the game of golf and bowling and participated in both for many years.  He also taught Sunday school for many years. Most of all, he loved Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He would want all of you who read this to know Jesus too. That was his greatest achievement.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Janet (Mead) Johnson, whom he married July 12, 1975 in Warren, his brother-in-Law Leonard Mead Jr. of Erie, whom he helped raise, sister, Lola (Art) Kelesy of Warren, sister, Susan Sellers of Mesa, AZ, sister, Clareen (Kurt) Glarner of Warren and a brother, Frank (Vickie) Johnson of Warren, 2 sisters-in law, Amy Mead and Bonnie Mead and a brother-in-law, Jack Holcomb and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Holcomb, a brother, David Johnson and his father-in-law, Leonard Mead, whom he helped cared for 20 years.

Friends may call on Saturday, August 4th from 11am to noon at the Otterbein United Methodist Church, in Pittsfield with the Rev. Nate Fugate, pastor, and the Rev. Rev Richard Hamilton of the Stockton Community Church, co-officiating. Burial will be in Warren Co. Memorial Park.  The family would like to thank the Rouse Home for their compassionate care, especially the 600 unit aides and staff.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Otterbein Church P.O. Box 217, Dalrymple St. Pittsfield, Pa. 16340.  The Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Youngsville have been entrusted with all arrangements. Condolences may be made at www.nelsonfuneralhome.net.

My deepest condolences to the family. Howard and I were great friends all through grade school, Beaty Junior High and through Warren High to graduation. I have many fond memories of Howard that I will hold close forever. May he rest in peace and may God bless those he left behind.
