Edna M. Church, 94, a resident of the Rouse Suites, Youngsville PA and formally of Sugar Grove, PA passed away Friday August 10, 2018 at the John and Orpha Hospice House in Warren.

She was born March 26, 1924 in Rockford, MI, to the late Donald and Fannie (Gold) McIntyre. She had worked for many years as the head cashier at the A&P Store in Warren.  Edna loved to knit and crochet, do ceramic and garden whenever time allowed. She also loved her many pets and the birds that thrived at her numerous bird feeders.

She is survived by her 2 children, Linda “Lin” Church Wolf and her partner, Vonnie Carlett, of Dunns Eddy, Youngsville, PA, and Charles (Althea) Church of Arlington, VT. Also surviving her is a brother, Leigh (Phyllis) McIntyre of Pittsfield and a sister Doris Coates of Riverview, MI, a step granddaughter, Kathryn Atkins and many nieces and nephews. Edna is also survived by her “adopted” daughter Donna L. O’Neil and many others in PA, TX, FL, and CA who loved her like a second mother.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Church in 2012 and 3 siblings, Barbara Bestrom, Robert and Bruce McIntyre all of Michigan.

An informal gathering will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 4 to 7 pm at the cabin in Dunns Eddy.  A private internment service will be held at a later date.    
Burial will be in the West Spring Creek Cemetery.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Garden at the Rouse Suites, 615 Rouse Ave. Youngsville Pa. 16371. Condolences to the family may be made at www.nelsonfuneralhome.net.

I am so sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. I have such wonderful memories of her from our childhood. Certainly a lovely woman. It is SO hard to lose a mother! You are in my thoughts and prayers,
