Roxanna Emily Shannon, 63, of Warren, PA passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018 at the Warren Manor.

Roxanna Emily was born on March 15, 1955, in Warren, PA, the only child of the late Wilbur Elwood Shannon and Loretta Lydia (DeVore) Shannon.

Following her parents death, Roxanna was raised by her aunt and uncle, William and Margie Baughman in Pittsfield, PA. She graduated from Youngsville High School in 1973 and attended Edinboro University, studying Library Science. Roxanna was employed by Blair Corp for many years. She will always be remembered for her kindness and love of animals, especially cats.

She is survived by her cousins with whom she was raised, Gary William Baughman of McKeesport, PA and Kathy Taylor and family of Columbus, Indiana. She is also survived by an uncle, Keith DeVore of Busti, NY, an aunt, Gertrude DeVore of the Rouse Home and many cousins.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 North Main Street, Youngsville, PA 16371, from 1pm - 2pm at which time a funeral service will be held there with the Rev. Marcus Briggs, officiating. Burial will take place in Warren County Memorial Park.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Warren County, PO Box 68, Warren, PA 16365 or to Paws Along the River Humane Society, 212 Elm Street, Warren, PA 16365.

Gary, Kathy and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all . I havent seen Roxie since high school but remember her and send my sympathy to all of you. May she rest in peace now and no more sickness.Praying for your safe travels back home.
