Dean A. Grosshans, 54, of Sugar Grove, passed away November 10, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.

Dean was born November 12, 1963 in Denver, CO to the late Benny and Frances (Hardy) Grosshans.  He worked as a self-employed contractor around the area. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, a good campfire with cold beverages, reading, woodworking, and listening to all types of music. He was an avid Denver Bronco’s fan. Dean was someone who thought of others above himself and would give the shirt off of his back to help you if he could.  He is going to be missed by his many family and friends, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored.

Dean is survived by his children, Miles (Erin) Lawson of Weldbank, Amber (Corey) Hill of Warren and Ian (Megan) Lawson of Youngsville, his Fiancé’, Darlene Sapanero of Sugar Grove, and her children, Tanya (Jammie) of Sugar Grove, Mario Sapanero and his companion Joeylynn of West Pittsburg, and Tony Sapanero of Dunham Springs, AL, his brother Kirk Grosshans of Brush, CO and a sister Lois (Roy) Bales of Hannah City, IL., his brother-in-law, David Fores, and his grandchildren, Cayden and Noah Hill, Lyric and Jayce Lawson, Collin and Curtis Ruland, Cristian and Jeremy Card , Candace and Dylan Bush and Evan Sapanero.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, David and Johnny Bowen and a sister Doris Forbes.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Assoc. at Alz.org.
