Julius E. Sitka, 82, of Youngsville, passed away February 8, 2019 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House in Warren.

He was born July 12, 1936 in Hallettsville, TX, a son to the late Joe and Emma (Kocian) Sitka. Julius had worked at Betts Industries as a welder, retiring from there in 1998. He was a member of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Youngsville and enjoyed traveling and camping in their 5th wheel. He also enjoyed playing cards, dominoes and golfing.

He is survived by his loving wife Sarah Bosko Sitka, whom he married May 30, 1964 in Huston, TX, 3 daughters, Carie Mitchell and Tina (Terry) Coan, both of Youngsville, and Dawn (Rick) Butcher of Columbus, OH, 2 sisters, Helen Schoener of Victoria, TX and Antonia (James) Brooks of Sublime, TX, a sister-in-law, Janie Sitka of Sugarland, TX, 4 grandchildren Nicholas and Nathan Coan and Jay and Neal Butcher, a step granddaughter, Felicia Coan, 3 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, including Jan Grey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Virginia Fellers and Dorothy Holcutt and a brother, Billy Joe Sitka.

Friends and family will be received on Monday from 4-7 pm at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Youngsville. A vigil service will be held there at 3:45 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 am at St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Youngsville with the Rev. Fr. Richard Tomasone, pastor, as celebrant.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Warren, Co. PO Box 68 Warren, PA 16365 or Youngsville Public Library 100 Broad St. Youngsville PA 16371. Condolences to the family may be made at www.nelsonfuneralhome.net.

We are very sad to hear of Uncle Julius' passing. Your visits to TX were always a highlight of many memories. He will truly be missed. Many prayers of comfort for all of you.

Aunt Sally, Carie, Tina and Dawn and families:

I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Julius's passing. The picture is a perfect one - just as I always remembered with that grin of his. I am thankful for getting to see him at Amanda's wedding and at the Ringel's 50th celebration. My love and thoughts are with all of you during this time of sadness.
