Robert “Bob” P. Murphy, 65, of Youngsville, Pa., passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019.

He was born May 4, 1954, in Spangler, Pa., a son to the late William “Dick” and Marion “Louise” (Geus) Murphy. Bob graduated from Cambria Heights High School and then attended Penn State University Altoona. He retired from Ellwood National Forge 3 years ago after 42 years of work. He was a member of the Youngsville American Legion, the VFW, Moose Club and Fireman’s Club all in Hastings, Pa. and was also a former EMT with the YVFD.

He was an avid Penn State fan but could not watch due to his gift of making them lose just by watching. Bob also played the bass guitar in a garage band called “The Revolutions”. His family was his life. He especially loved being actively involved in their athletic events such as coaching his daughter’s softball team and teaching his nephew, Mark, how to play bass guitar. He never missed an event with his granddaughter, who graduated from Penn State, following in his footsteps. He also always enjoyed wearing his “rally cap” for “his boys”.

Bob is survived by his wife, Donna Franklin Murphy, of Youngsville; his daughters, Teri (Brian) Magnani and Casey Warner (Jerry) of DE; his granddaughter, Kennedie Ebersole (Damiond); his brothers, Harold “Rusty” (Donna) Murphy of Youngsville and Martin (Anita) Murphy of Hastings, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Todd (Kelly) Franklin; his nieces and nephews, Mark, Alison, Elisa, Hannah and Ian and his great-nieces and nephews, Zoe, Max, Easton, Clara, Emory and Ansley.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother, William Murphy, his In-laws, Jim and Patricia Franklin, a brother-in-law, Scott Franklin and a sister-in-law, Anne Franklin.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to Warren County Disabled American Veterans, #75, 5 Firemans Rd, Warren, PA 16365 or to K9 Nic C/O Officer Neiswonger, Conewangho Twp, 4 Firemans Rd, Warren, Pa 16365.
