Katherine M. Knisley, 86, of Youngsville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday July 7, 2019 at the WCA Hospital in Jamestown.

Katherine was born January 7, 1933 in Warren, a daughter to the late Stephen and Gladys (Thomas) Chambers. She loved spending time with her family and her pets. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors, country westerns, her cow collection and her ”fancy work”.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years William Knisley Jr. Together, they raised seven children, Gladys Frank, Nancy Hicks, Carol Boyer, William (Sally) Knisley, Ruth (Brent) Long, Edna Vansile and James (Yong) Knisley, her siblings, Richard Chambers and Donald (Helen) Chambers, a sister-in-law, Marie Chambers, a brother-in-law, Archie Briton, 30 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a few great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret Brittain, Helen Knisley,  Stephen Chambers, and Paul Chambers, Helen Knisley.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St. in Youngsville from 11am till 1pm, at which time a funeral service will be held there. Burial will be in Warren Co. Memorial Park.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Warren Cancer Center, 2 Crescent Park, Warren, Pa. 16365. Condolences to the family may be made at www.nelsonfuneralhome.net.
