Kevin Shubert, 55, of Tiona, passed away on March 3rd, 2021 at his residence.
He was born on July 7, 1965, in Cleveland, OH, a son to the late John Shubert and Nellie (Smalley) Beitsinger. He was a 1983 graduate of Seneca Valley High School in Harmony, Pa and worked as a Quality Lab Tech at Ellwood National Forge for several years until January of 2021 when he could no longer work. Kevin loved listening to music and playing guitar. He played in 4 local bands, Bag of Bones, Hostage 58, Dr. Awkward We the People and Full Circle. He enjoyed yardwork and being outside, stargazing. He loved Christmas and would always try and outdo himself every year. His furry companions, Stevie Ray and Sadie Mae, were a huge part of his life. He also enjoyed his spiritual mediational journey he more recently started. A quote from Kevin: "Keep in mind my friends, some things we think matter, really don’t....Love what you have, have what you love....Just sayin....”
He is survived by his loving wife, Lanae (Nelson) Shubert, who he married on August 30, 2004; a son, Christopher Shubert and his companion, Erin, of Canonsburg, Pa; a step-son, Seth Wiedmaier, of Warren; his step-mother, Donna Shubert of Moon Twp., Pa; his step-father, Henry Beitsinger of Youngsville; his siblings, Jeffrey Shubert of Youngsville, Allison (Shawn) Freeman of Bridgeville, Pa, Lauren (Scott) Mulvaney of Harleysville, Pa and William (Debra) Beitsinger of North Warren and two step-sisters, Diane Taylor and Karen Beitsinger and his two nieces Smantha and Emily Freeman.
A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
