Bonni L. Burke, 55, of Wattsburg, Pa, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at her home.

She was born on November 9, 1965 in Erie, Pa, a daughter to the late David A. and Carol (Mecklen) Moorhead. Bonni worked for the Erie VA Medical Center as a dental hygienist for 15 years and was previously a baptized member of Elevate Church in Erie, Pa. She loved horses and horseback riding and took great joy in caring for her property and home. Most of all, Bonni was a proud, loving mother of her son.

She is survived by her son, Alex Burke of Wattsburg, Pa; her siblings, Leland (Julie) Moorhead of Vermont, Holli Moorhead of Russell, Pa and Melody Evans of Erie and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, at the Greenfield Baptist Church, 9028 Williams Road, North East, Pa 16428, at 10am with the Rev. Dan Cass, pastor, officiating. A reception of family and friends will be held following the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Erie VA Medical Center, Attn. Voluntary Office (135), 135 East 38th Street, Erie, Pa 16504.

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's passing. Whenever we were at your house she was such a kind, cheerful, and hospitable woman, and I'm glad you were able to have a loving mother like her in your life. She raised a man of great character, and now she will still make the world smile through you. May God give you and your family peace during this difficult time.

I am at a total loss of words of what to write or say to you to console you for the loss of your mom. She was a kind and caring lady! She loved you Alex so very much- her biggest and proudest accomplishment!! My sympathies- she will be missed!!!
