Bradley A. Swanson, 69, of Sugar Grove, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025 at the John & Orpha Hospice House in Warren surrounded by his family.
Brad was born September 1, 1956 in Warren, a son to the late Eric Swanson and Jean (Springer) Retterer. He spent most of his life as a truck driver, working for many companies. He retired from Regal Services after 6 years. Many of his hobbies included, fishing, especially in Florida, driving across country in his semi, dirt track racing, fixing up golf carts and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Brad and his wife, Mary, loved wintering in Florida kayaking the many rivers and springs.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary (Snyder) Swanson, two daughters, Christina (Matt) Marino of Sugar Grove and Holly Swanson and her companion David Lyon, of Pittsfield, a step daughter, Melissa (Joey) Sargent of AZ, his siblings, Debbie Young of Parish, FL, Brian (Gerry) Swanson of Spring Creek and Keith “Dana” (Ann) Swanson of Russell, his grandchildren, Hannah Newcamp, Garrett Dunham, Grant Ferman and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Brad was preceded in death by a brother in law, Gordy Young.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
