C. David Waite, 87, of Chandlers Valley, passed away Monday January 1, 2024 at the Warren General Hospital after suffering a broken heart from losing his beloved wife Nancy 11 days prior.
David was born January 10, 1936 in Warren to the late Floyd and Leona (Nollinger) Waite. He served in the US Army from 1959 to 1961. He worked as a machine operator at Crescent Tool, a well tender for Curtis Oil, security guard for Doyle Security and later as a school bus driver. He was a member of Sugar Grove Vol. Fire Dept., Warren County Fire Police, the Youngsville American Legion and the Eagles Club in Warren. He enjoyed watching Football, NASCAR and baseball.
David is survived by his children, Clark Waite of Lakewood, NY, Lynn (Tammy) Waite of Youngsville, Marcy Stafford of Warren and Kristy (Mathew) Creacraft of Corry, his grandchildren, Paul (Sara) Waite, Caleb and Kaliann Waite, great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Autumn Waite, his sisters, Lorriane Waite and Ruth (Richard) Keiser and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy on December 21, 2023, a grandson Ethan Waite, his brothers, Eugene Waite and Everell Waite and his sisters, Lois Bihr, Eleanor Waite and Marian Engstrom.
Friends will be received on Friday from 4-7pm at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 North main St. in Youngsville. A funeral service will be held there on Saturday at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior to the service with the Rev. Larry Condron officiating. Burial will follow in the Chandlers Valley Cemetery. Members of the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard will provide full military honors.
