Carl Asbury, 85, of Youngsville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the John & Orpha Blair Hospice House in Warren.
He was born on July 1, 1939 in Muskegon, MI, a son to the late Roger and Marna (Drake) Asbury. Carl served in the United States Army and went on to own and operate Kitchens by Asbury for many years. He was a member of the Youngsville American Legion Post #658, the Eagles Club and a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing and boating, woodworking, classic cars, coin collecting, spending time with his grandchildren, and Perry’s Bittersweet Sinphony ice cream.
Carl is survived by his loving wife, Sally (DeVore) Asbury; his children, Anson (Rosa) Asbury of Decatur, GA and Ann Asbury of Harrisburg, PA and 5 grandchildren, Aidan, Alexis, Anson, Alice and Avery.
In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Asbury.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 27th at St. Luke’s RC Church, 420 N. Main St, Youngsville, PA 16371, at 11am with the Fr. Rev. Rick Tomasone, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be held there 1 hour prior to the Mass. A private burial will take place in Riverside cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Warren County, 1 Main Ave., Warren, PA 16365 or to the Knights of Columbus, 1768 Market Street, Warren, PA 16365.
