Cole Rieder Obituary

Cole Michael Rieder, 24, of Youngsville, passed away unexpectedly at home September 15,2022 with his loyal companion Sissy the pug at his side. The love of a boy and his dog, forever unconditional.

Cole was born March 12,1998 in Warren to Jocelyn (Armstrong) Rieder and Michael Rieder. Growing up Cole loved all things little boys do- planes and trains, big trucks like his papa’s drove. He loved being outside, playing with his siblings and cousins. He loved going to the barn to help with his aunts horses. Cole was a happy, energetic child who was always eager to learn and help anyone. As Cole got older his love for anything that moves went from hot wheels to four wheelers and dirt bikes. On the weekends Cole enjoyed riding the track in the back field and through the woods with his family and friends. Cole loved to joke, you had a hard time distinguishing whether he was joking or being serious. He could put a smile on anyone’s face and he made friends easily.

Cole aspired to join the Air Force after graduating from Warren Area High School. His senior year he was diagnosed with epilepsy and his world was changed forever. Cole spent the last seven years learning to live with epilepsy and the challenges it brought daily.

Cole was looked up to as a big brother not only by his siblings Jaycob and Alexxa but many other younger children involved in his life. Cole enjoyed the quality time he got to spend with his siblings especially his sister, teaching her about all things he possibly could in his short time here on earth.  He had a few very close friends he would spend time with regularly and had made an impact on their children.

Cole is survive by his parents- Jocelyn Armstrong Rieder, Michael Rieder and Kristy Engstrom. His siblings Jaycob and Alexxa Rieder. His grandparents- Sparkie Lyszaz and Craig Hetrick, John Sr and Sheryl Armstrong, Debbie and Deryl Chapel, Curt and Candis Rieder numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and his great grandmothers Janet Cooper, Katherine Chapel and Jodee Lyszaz. Cole was preceded in death by a grandfather Larry Lyszaz, great grandparents Bob and Cathy Armstrong and Richard and Maryanne Gustafson, great grandfathers Bill Rieder, Bob Chapel and Frank Lyszaz.
