David E. Swanson Jr., 67, of Russell, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

David was born on January 24, 1957, in Warren, to his parents, David Swanson Sr. and Jean (Lyke) Swanson, who survive him of Warren. He was employed at the National Forge for many years. He enjoyed hunting, especially bird hunting and had many English Setter’s. David was a drummer in bands since high school and was a drummer for many bands in the area, playing with Jeff Atkins and Kenny Berford. He also enjoyed spending time at the family hunting camp and family gatherings.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings, Scott (Debra) Swanson, James (Amy) Swanson, John (Teresa) Swanson, all of Warren and Jennifer (Robert) Larson of Sugar Grove as well as many nieces and nephews.

Per David’s request, no services will be held.
