Doris Wilson Obituary

Doris A. Wilson, 96, of Youngsville, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the Rouse Warren County Home, Youngsville.


She was born to the late Earl and Edna Walker in Warren on March 27, 1927. A graduate of Warren Area High School in 1945, Doris went on to work at several dress shops in Warren and later at the Bon Ton in the Warren Mall. In her early days, she enjoyed golf, square dancing, roller skating, ceramics, sewing, crafts, and traveling with her husband Robert, whom she married on February 19, 1949, and had 2 wonderful children, Cindy and Jeff, with. Doris was a member of the St. Lukes Catholic Church in Youngsville where she participated in their Rosary Society.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband 2014, and her daughter Cindy in 2015, and her son Jeff in 2023.


Doris is survived by her daughter in law, Stephanie Wilson of Irvine; sister Phyllis Manross of Corry; grandsons Ryan (Lauren) and Scott  (Leweann)Alexander; great grandsons Dylan, Brody and Trent Alexnder.


A private burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery at the convenience of the family.


Memorial donations may be made in Doris’s name to the St. Joseph Catholic School, 608 Pennsylvania Ave. Warren, Pa. 16365.
