Dorothy “Dot” Jane Lauffenburger, 94, of Youngsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.


Dot, as she was affectionately known, was born on June 23, 1930 in Garland to the late Jay and Naomi Hickey Goodwill. She married William Lauffenburger on February 9, 1952 in Irvine, and went on to create a beautiful family, which was her greatest love. Dot was a beautician in the Youngsville area for many years. Her favorite times were with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, and winters spent in Arizona. Dot was a member of the Youngsville Fireman’s Auxiliary, St. Lukes Altar Rosary Society, and Jackson Valley Ladies Golf League. A special “Thank You” goes to Tiffany Cummings for her care and support for Dot over the years.


Surviving Dot are her children, Shelley Stec of Pittsfield, Pam (Bill) Olewine of Youngsville and Mike (Angie) Lauffenburger of Strongsville, OH; her grandchildren, Chad (Deanna) Stec, Brett (Lauren) Stec, Kevin Stec, Scott (Jolene) Olewine, Mike (Beth) Olewine, Alex Lauffenburger and Zach Lauffenburger; her great grandchildren, Connor and Carson Stec, Landon and Sophia Stec, Brady and Kenzie Olewine, Ethan Johnson, Trenton and Hunter Olewine and many nieces and nephews.


In addition to her parents, preceding Dot in death was her husband, William; her sisters, Marian Abraham, Genevieve Lincoln, Patricia Shields, Ethel Peterson, Mary Lou Walter, Irene Reinhold; her brothers, Robert and Albert Goodwill and a son-in-law, Don Stec.


Friends and family will be received on Monday, July 8th 2024 at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 420 North Main St. Youngsville, PA, 16371 from 10-11am at which time a Mass of Christian burial will be held with Fr. Rick Tomasone, pastor officiating. Burial will follow at the Youngsville Cemetery.
