Earl “Skip” Nordblum, 83, of Youngsville, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Titusville Area Hospital.
Skip was born October 4, 1938 to the late Earl and Dorothy Barrett Nordblum in Buffalo, New York. He was a truck driver for many years, driving for several local businesses. He was a Cleveland Indians fans, and a diehard Buffalo Bills fan. The one thing he always wished and prayed for was to see the Bills win the Super Bowl. He was a member of the American Legion Post 135, Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Warren, The Moose Lodge 109 in Warren, and the Lakewood Rod and Gun. Skip was a devoted friend and father, and was truly his daughters best friend. He enjoyed meeting up with his buddy, Ron McClement and the guys at “The Hood” as they called Park Avenue Motor Car.
He is survived by a daughter, Kim Cataldo, of Youngsville; his brother, William (Chris) Nordblum of Tampa, FL; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, a niece, Neielle and 3 great-nieces.
In addition to his parents, Skip was preceded in death by his loving wife of 38 years, Shirley; his son, Earl “Skippy” Nordblum, both in 1999; a nephew and a son-in-law, Rick Cataldo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, at the Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 North Main St. Youngsville, Pa, from 11:00am to noon, at which time a memorial service will take place there. Burial will take place in Youngsville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
