Edward D. Bundy

Edward Dwight Bundy, 66, of Port Huron, MI passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. 

He was born on May 8, 1956 in Titusville, PA, a son to the late W. LaRue (Kohlman) Bundy and Emil Bundy who survives him of Youngsville, PA. Ed grew up in Irvine, graduated from Youngsville High School and went on to obtain his mechanical engineering degree from Penn State Behrend in Erie, PA.  During his career he worked as a design engineer for General Electric, Johnson Controls and General Motors. He was a die hard sports fan, especially enjoying Penn State and Pittsburgh sports teams as well as local teams.  He enjoyed watching band competitions, had a strong interest in trains and more recently watching the freighters in Port Huron. He loved his family, friends and country.  Above everything, he was serious about his walk with God and wanted others to know God’s love. Despite his physical limitations, Ed pushed forward without complaining. 

In addition to his father, he is survived by his siblings, Barbara (Dan) Johnson of Youngsville, PA, Stephen (Suanne) Bundy of Spring Creek, PA and Laurie (Todd) Harmon of Erie, PA; his longtime friend, Pam Pekar of Sterling Heights, MI and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, Ed was preceded in death by a niece and a nephew.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28th, at the Youngsville Free Methodist Church, 179 Davis Street, Youngsville, PA 16371, from 10 am-12 noon at which time a funeral service will be held there with the Rev. Kathy Thompson officiating. The service will be live-streamed at https://youtube.com/@YoungsvilleFMC. Burial will follow in the Wrightsville Cemetery.
