Eric T. Gentz, 42, of Youngsville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in Warren, PA.

Eric was born in Warren, PA on September 23, 1981, to the late Thomas R. Gentz and Trudy Kysor, who survives him.  Eric graduated from Youngsville High School in 2000.  Following graduation, he worked for Roger Luvison & Son Construction where he was a machine operator, laborer, truck driver, and many other roles.  Recently, he was in the process of starting his own construction business. Eric enjoyed the outdoors, especially kayaking and fishing with Aly, and RC cars and planes. His daughter, Alyssa, was his pride and joy, and he could be seen on the sidelines of every sporting event she participated in. He was a Buffalo Bills fan. Eric always had a smile on his face and was happy to help anyone who needed it, never wanting or expecting anything in return. Eric’s family and friends were very important to him, and he will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Left to cherish memories of Eric include his mother, Trudy (Jack) Kysor; his life partner, Dawn Wright; his daughter, Alyssa Gentz; his stepdaughters, Amber Houben and Brittany Owen; his brother, Kyle (Allison) Gentz; his sister, Kellie Gentz (Matt Jamieson); his nieces and nephews, Hannah and Mason Gentz, Tegan Wightman and Colton Jamieson; his stepmother, Tammy Gentz; as well as numerous step-family members, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his father, Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elwood and Joline Sandberg and Robert and Beth Gentz.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2024, from 5-7pm, at Nelson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 314 North Main St., Youngsville, PA 16371.
