Gary L. LaMar

Gary L. LaMar, age 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 3, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.

Born on November 27, 1946, Gary was the youngest son of the late Kenneth and Amanda LaMar of Jamestown, NY. He was a 1966 graduate of Jamestown High School. Prior to his retirement, Gary was employed at Adenlock, Hills Department Store, and various other places.                                    

Besides his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his siblings, Connie, Joan, Sally, and Dale.

Surviving him is his partner in life, Martha Trumbull of Jamestown, NY, his six children, Seann LaMar of Minden, NV, Jamie (Audrey) LaMar of Savannah, GA, Heather (Fred) Delcamp of Brocton, NY, Kevin LaMar of Jamestown, NY, Patrick (Crystal) LaMar of Jamestown, NY and Marshanne (Marc Keller) Friend of Erie, PA.  He also leaves behind several grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Park for their love, support, care, and compassion during Gary’s last days.

At the family’s request, funeral services and visitation will not be observed.  A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the Den Adlesman’s Klub (3411 Salisbury Road, Gerry, New York 14740) from 12:30 pm-3:30 pm.  All who knew Gary are welcome to attend.
