George R. Gresham Obituary

George R. Gresham, 75, of Tidioute, PA, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his family.


He was born on September 17, 1947, in Cleveland, OH, a son to the late Harry and Shirley (Mauk) Gresham. George is survived by his wife, Susan (Acker) Gresham, who he married on December 28, 1979; his children, Melissa Zoeller of Harrisonburg, VA and Jeremy (Tara) Byble of Grand Junction, CO; his twin brother, David Gresham of Cleveland, OH and his grandchildren, Miranda, Riley and Harrison.


George was a decorated US Navy war veteran. He was the Captain on a River Boat in Vietnam, Bronze Star Combat V. He worked as a Machinist at Corry Custom Machine in Wattsburg for many years. George was a lifetime member of the Tidioute VFW, an excellent woodworker and enjoyed hunting and fishing.


A celebration of life will be held on July 29, 2023 at 2pm at their residence, 1866 Tidioute Creek Rd, Tidioute, PA 16351. A pig roast will follow for family and friends and helping hands are always welcome. You can RVSP with Melissa at 304-415-0866
