Henry I. "Hank" Stec 97, of Garland, PA passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2023 at the Rouse Warren County Home. He was born on March 14, 1926 in Spring Creek, PA to the late Izydor and Josephine (Plesniak) Stec. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed at Tony L. Stec Lumber Co. for 40 years. He was a member of St. Luke's RC Church, Youngsville American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Am Vets. Hank enjoyed raising Christmas trees, cruising woodlots and spending his winters in Arizona. His greatest treasure was his grandchildren.
He married Margaret C. Baker at St. John's RC Church in Tidioute, PA on October 6, 1951, who preceded him in death on July 8, 2010. He is survived by his children, Stephen Stec, Donald (Shelley) Stec of Pittsfield, Cyndi (Tim) Shield, Christine Castano of Russell, Timothy Stec of Grand Valley and Marlene (Tim) Byler of Youngsville.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 4th at 11am at St. Joseph Cemetery with The Rev. Fr. Richard Tomasone, officiating. A celebration of life service will also be held and announced at a later date.
