Jack Moore Obituary

Jack D. Moore, 85, of Tidioute, passed away Saturday March 5, 2022 at Kinzua Health Care in Warren. Jack was born September 20, 1936 in Tidioute to the late Ernie and Bertha (Bupp) Moore. Jack liked to keep busy. He worked as a State Game Warden while he and his wife Janet owned and operated Moore’s Green House in Tidioute. He had many irons in the fire his whole life to provide for his family. But he still made time to selflessly help others. Anyone who knew him can tell you of a time he helped someone in need. Jack loved to hunt, whether on the Hill in Tidioute with Troy, or on Jack Jr.’s farm in Clarion, he was always dreaming of that big buck or crafty old gobbler. Jack was a fisherman, you could find him on the Allegheny River in Tidioute, or on Crooked Lake in Babson Park, Florida, where he and Janet had their winter home. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed greatly Jack is survived by his children, Jack (Lisa) Moore Jr. of New Bethlehem, Connie (Richard) Peterson of Tidioute, Crystal (Ted) Gertsch of Warren, a daughter-in-law, Debbie Moore of Tidioute, a sister Linda Reese of Tidioute, his grandchildren, Brett Moore, Travis Moore, Christopher Peterson, Jesse Peterson, Jacob Moore, Hayley Moore and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Moore, who passed December 8, 2020, a son Troy Moore, who passed November 9, 2021, a great granddaughter, Izzy Rae Peterson, who passed August 21, 2021 and a brother Ronald Moore. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 11am till noon at the Allegheny Bible Church in Tidioute, at which time a funeral service will take place there at noon with the Re. Dale Timco, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Swedish Union Cemetery in Tidioute. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Allegheny Bible Church, 45 Hill Dr. Tidioute, PA 16351.
