James D. Phelps, 77 of Youngsville, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 12, 2024 at his residence.
Jim was born April 14, 1946 in Meadville, to the late Grady Phelps and Evelyn Sikes Bobby. He graduated from Meadville High School where he played tennis. Jim was an Iron Worker Local #348 and was very proud of the bridges and buildings that he helped build over the years. He retired in 1995. Jim also enjoyed his friends and beers at Huey’s Place. One of Jim’s proudest accomplishments was teaching his children and grandchildren how to play poker.
Jim is survived by his two children, Donna Pastrick and Mark Phelps, both of Youngsville; his grandchildren, Alahana Pastrick of Youngsville and Logan Pastrick of Chandlers Valley and a grand fur baby, Abby.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Phelps on January 12, 2020, a brother, Lawrence Phelps, a daughter in law, Tammy Gantz, and a Jack Russell, Maggie that they had for 15 years.
Per Jim’s wishes no services will be held.
