James R. “Woody” Wood, 77, of Garland, passed away on Friday January 24, 2025 at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House in Warren.
He was born August 20, 1947 in Franklin, a son to the late Dale and Phyllis (Moore) Lindsey. Jim worked at Corry Associated Springs and also co-owned the Fairmont Hotel in Youngsville with his wife Kimberly Wood for a number of years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and riding his Harley motorcycle. He was also a member of the Warren Moose for a number of years.
He is survived by his children, Briana Wood of Garland and Jarret Wood of Knox, a brother, Dale “Skip” (Wendy) Lindsey of Warren, his grandchildren, Zavery Wagner and Madison Reed, a great grandson, Corbyn Wagner and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Lindsey and a sister, Connie Bennett.
A celebration of life will be held a later date that will be announced.
