Jean A. Stone

Jean A. Stone, 75, of Corry, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2023 with her family by her side after a lengthy illness.

She was born on January 8, 1948, in Titusville, PA, a daughter to the late Edward and Mary (Jackson) Stone. Jeannie was raised in Spartansburg and graduated from Spartansburg High School in 1966. She worked many jobs during her life. More notably, she bartended for the Corry Legion and Managed the Corry Elks Club. She was well known for her quick wit and sense of humor.

She loved being with her family and friends. Jeannie enjoyed doing puzzles of all kinds, playing cards and bingo. Every year, she would enjoy going to the Spartansburg Fair to play Bingo with her family and friends.

Jeannie is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Todd) Sanford of Garland; her grandchildren, Kristen (Jeff) Everetts of Irvine, Zachary (Tiffany) Sanford of Youngsville and Alexander Sanford and his companion, Alexandra Rathman, of Pittsburgh; 2 great-granddaughters, Mackenzie & Caroline; her siblings, Karen (Clair) Blakeslee of Union City, Patty McBlaine of Meadville, Dennis (Ginger) Stone of Spartansburg, Bette (Walter) Cross of Spartansburg and Sandy Fielding of Spartansburg and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Allison Carter; 2 brothers, Gary & Ronald Stone and 2 sisters, Donna Ongley and Bonnie Krizo.

No services will be held per Jean’s wishes.
