Jef Luvison Obituary

Jef M. Luvison, 70, of Sugar Grove, passed away June 28, 2022 at UPMC Hamot in Erie after an extended illness.

Jef was born August 9, 1951 in Warren to Claude “Dink” and Nan (Warner) Luvison, who survive him of Youngsville.   Jef was a member of the Youngsville American Legion  Post #658 and the Sugar Grove AmVets Club #50 and was a lifetime member of the NRA.  He was drafted into the US Army and served in Germany until becoming a partner with his father and brother in the Roger Luvison and Son Construction Company.  Jef loved rabbit and deer hunting, gardening and watching Fox News as he was a staunch conservative republican. He enjoyed Sunday cookouts and shooting on his rifle range. But the most important thing was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved taking his kids and nephews to watch his favorite teams the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Jef is survived by his wife Marlene “Skunk” Luvison , whom he married September 8, 1973, his children Mellisa Luvison and her companion Larry Havers of Youngsville, Rory Luvison and his companion Charity Nuse  and Tracey Luvison, both of Sugar Grove;  his siblings, Matt (Penny) Luvison of Youngsville, Claudia Thelin of Lander, Kelly (Karen) Luvison of Sayre, PA, Natalie (Craig) Ostergaard of Pioneer, CA; his grandchildren Jasmine and Brady Etter , Collins Havers, Phoenix Luvison and Jerecho Johnson, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jef was preceded in death by his brother Kim Luvison; a nephew, Josh Luvison;  a brother-in-law, Robert Thelin; his paternal grandparents Amalia and Roger Luvison and his maternal grandparents Ivan and Lovinia Warner.
