Joan M. (Bogart) Jones, 85, of Russell, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at UPMC Medical Center in Erie.

She was born on July 23, 1940 in Warren, PA, a daughter to the late Donald and Mildred (Armstrong) Bogart. Joan was a class of 1959 Warren Area High School graduate and retired from Blair after 25 plus years. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, baking, camping and traveling to see her sister in FL, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with and caring for her family. Years ago, Joan was a member of the Russell VFD Auxiliary as well as the Mother’s Club in Russell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Richard Jones, who she married on April 29, 1961 in N. Warren; her sons, Todd (Jill) Jones and Scott Jones and his fiancé, Tracy Kraft, both of Pittsfield; her grandchildren, Courtney Jenkins, Ashley Jones, Brady (Alura) Jones and Cameron Kraft; 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Richard K. Jones, her granddaughter, Christin, her twin sister, Jean, as well as her sisters, Lois and Carol.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1pm at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Russell, PA with her sister-in-law, Marian Hartley, officiating.
