John Hagberg Obituary

John A. Hagberg, 79, of Sugar Grove, PA, passed away on March 25, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, PA.

He was born on June 14, 1946, a son to the late Arnold and Dorothy (Coleman) Hagberg. A 1964 graduate of Eisenhower High School, he became an electrician. First working for Johnson Controls and then starting Northwest Service Co in the 1970’s, which is now owned by his son.

He was very active in 4-H as a student and as an adult was on many agriculture boards such as, The Conservation District, Farm Bureau and Penn State Extension. He always encouraged the kids by purchasing a years supply of meat at the 4-H Stock Auction at the Warren County Fair. John was also on the Warren Electric Coop Board. He and his wife, Linda, raised buffalo for twenty years on the family farm and always thought of it as a great experience.

John is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Eggleston) Hagberg, his daughter, Lisa M. "Lissah" Hagberg of Florence, SC, his son, Jason (Dawn) Hagberg of Warren, two step-children, Kyle Nicklas of Los Angeles, CA and Suzanne Nicklas of Warren, his sisters, Judy (Peter) LaBarbera and Barbara (Robert) Kane, 5 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Robert (Sherry) Hagberg, a granddaughter Challissah Mills and a step-grandson, Jake Porter.

Per John’s wishes, no services will be held.

Memorial donations may be made to the Warren County 4-H, 100 Dillon Dr., Suite 101, Youngsville, PA 16371.
