Kay Johnson Obituary

Kay F. Johnson, 71, of Warren, Pa, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Saint Vincent Hospital, in Erie, after an extended illness.

Kay was born in Warren, to the late Walter and Anna Main on July 6, 1951. A graduate of Warren Area High School, Kay went on to work at United Refining and Delux in Warren. Kay had many hobbies and interests. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, bowling and spending time gardening in her flower beds, but most of all, Kay loved the theater. She worked in many positions at the Struthers Library Theater over the years, her favorite being the sewing of costumes. 

She is survived by her sister Linda (Thomas) Walters of Irvine, Pa, and her brother, James Main of Pittsfield, Pa; two nephews, Tom Walters and Andrew (Leslie) Walters and two great-nephews, Wyatt and Charlie.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Johnson, Sr. in 2007.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made in Kay’s name to the Struthers Library Theater, 302 West 3rd Avenue, Warren, Pa 16365.
