Kevin Thomas Youngquist passed away peacefully at his home the morning of October 26, 2021. He was born on February 5, 1954 to the late Thomas R. and Ruth A. (nee Croak) Youngquist.
Kevin graduated from Warren Area High School in 1973. Living the majority of his life in the Warren area. He possessed an eclectic wealth of knowledge and loved to read and write. History and science fiction were his favorite genres. An accomplished musician, playing both acoustic and electric guitars. From classical fast fingered acoustical riffs, to blues and screaming heavy metal electric guitars. He loved all types of music. He had a big personality. Full of quick-witted one-liners, he could definitely hold a room. He loved the freedom of riding his motorcycles on the winding roads of Pennsylvania. Highway 120 between Emporium and Renovo was his favorite. “The faster he could take a curve, the better”. For many years was a member of the Warren Tennis Association playing every chance he could. He was employed as a teamster. Starting out driving coast to coast, and eventually driving for several local companies including Masterson’s Transfer and Crossett. Eventually retiring due to health issues.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Anita S. Gray.
Kevin is survived by his children, Corey D. Youngquist of Jamestown, NY, Chrissie M. Youngquist and her companion David Spotts of Sugar Grove, PA, Joel D. Youngquist of Warren, PA and Kyle L. Youngquist of Clarion, PA; his grandchildren, Shyan A. Sisk of Erie, PA and Jacob S. Russ of Warren, PA; his great-grandchildren, Nikoali P. Sisk and Ophelia J. Pluta both of Erie, PA; his brother, Eric Youngquist of Russell, PA and nephews Brad, Matt and Drew Gray of Warren County, PA.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 from 2-6pm at the Starbrick Volunteer Fire Hall, 5 Fireman Street. Friends are encouraged to bring memories and stories to share. Food and beverage will be provided. Dish to pass is optional.
