Linda F. Matie, 96, of Chandlers Valley, passed away on January 7, 2025, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.

Linda was born on December 7, 1928 in Jamestown, NY, to the late Carl and Elsie Gartner Uhlig. She worked and retired from the Blair Corp. in Irvine, and worked for years at the Warren VFW. Linda was always up for a fun time and always known for a good joke. She loved to spend time with her friends and family, whether it was shopping, or spending time coloring in her adult coloring books.

Linda is survived by a sister, Betty Bednar; 5 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Matie; her children, Howard Matie and Karen Matie; her sisters, Olga Falconer and Eileen Anderson; her brothers, Herman, Art and Carl Uhlig and 2 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
