Lois Westover 88, of Youngsville, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Cambridge Warren after an extended illness.
Lois was born July 31, 1933 in Hastings, PA, to the late Bernard “Zeb” and Ethel Kelly Nagle. She worked as an Elementary School Teacher for the Warren Co School District for 25 years. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Indiana and her Master's degree in education from Edinboro. Lois was a member of St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church in Youngsville where she served on the Small Faith Group and the Alter Rosary Society and also director of religious education for 8 years. She was a member of the Day Breakers Bowling League and the Sugar Grove Ladies Bowling League. A member of the PA State Teachers Association and the PA State Education Assoc. for 25 years, the National Retired Teachers Assoc. and the PA Assoc. of School Retirees.
Lois is survived by her loving husband Jerry Westover whom she married October 22, 1955 at St Bernard Catholic Church in Hastings, PA; one son, Jay (Erin) Westover of Riverside, CA; a sister Carol Wagner of Westover, PA; 3 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Katie and Jacob and nieces and nephews, Diane, Brittany, Brandi, Scott, Lexi, Greg and Kristen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Jim Nagle and a niece Katie Nagle
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday December 11th at 11 am at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 420 N. Main Street, Youngvsille, Pa 16371, with the Rev. Fr. Richard Tomasone, pastor, as celebrant. Friends will be received in the gathering space for one hour prior to the Mass.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Church 420 North Main St. Youngsville PA 16371 or to Masses in memory of Lois.
