Lucille P. Whiteley, 79, of Spring Creek, Pa, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Warren Manor.
She was born on November 19, 1942 in Corry, Pa, a daughter to the late Joseph M. and Ethel (Stearns) Malek. Lucy worked at Ike’s Billiard Hall and Café as the manager for a period of time prior to her 42 years at Tonnard Mfg. where she worked in the tapping dept. She always enjoyed camping, cooking, spending time with family and playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, James R. Whiteley and his companion, Sue Eger, of Columbus, Michael J. (Linda “Mickey”) Maedje Sr. of Southport, N.C. and Josette (Shawn) Black of Spring Creek; her siblings, Margaret Shillinglaw of FL, Barb Gebhardt of OK, Frank (Linda) Malek of FL, Edmond (Carla) Malek of OH and Edward (Donna) Malek of Pittsfield; her grandchildren, Cody (Kristen) Willis, Lauren (Christian) Pederson, Stefanie (Dana) Goodwill, Michael (Kylee) Maedje Jr., Robert (Andee) Maedje, Justin Nollinger and his companion, Cursty McClure; 13 great-grandchildren, along with 1 on the way that Lucy was eagerly awaiting, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Whiteley, her infant twin sons, Mark James and Michael Lee Maedje, her sister, Joan Smith, her brothers, Carl, Richard, Robert, Merle and Joe Malek and her beloved dog, Sadie.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 5th at Relevant Church, 100 W. South St., Corry, Pa 16407 from 10-11am at which time a memorial service will be held there with the Rev. Les Utegg, pastor, officiating.
