Margaret F. Anderson, 75, of Tidioute, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Titusville Area Hospital.
Margaret was born on July 3, 1948 in Corsica, PA, to the late Charles and Frieda (Raught) Blair. She moved to the Tidioute area at the age of 3 and was a graduate of Tidioute High School. Over the years she worked at several places including the Blair Corp. as well as Osram-Sylvania from which she retired.
Margaret, lovingly known as “Watoo” to her grandchildren, thoroughly enjoyed shopping, household sales and thrifting as well as going to the casino with her husband and siblings but she especially enjoyed spending time with and supporting her children and grandchildren.
Margaret was a compassionate soul who’s generosity knew no bounds. She exemplified a rare open minded and selfless spirit. Whether family, friend, or stranger Margie approached them with an open heart and open arms. She was truly a giver who consistently put other’s happiness and comfort above her own. She was also known for her remarkable willingness to speak what was on her mind and always stick up for the underdog.
Margie will be fondly remembered as a strong-minded soul with a quick, humorous wit, feisty spirit, and a giving nature. She is survived by her loving husband Kenneth Anderson, whom she married September 25, 1971, her children, Holly (Ian) Witherington of Poland, OH and Michael (Jamie) Anderson of Tidioute, 2 sisters, Mary Rehe and Vivian Spencer, both of Tidioute, a brother, John (Ellie) Blair of Pittsfield, her grandchildren, Landon, Carter, and Elliott Anderson and Phinneaus Witherington and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by an infant brother, her sister, June Edwards, her brothers, Charles Blair and Ira “Joe” Blair and a granddaughter, Sara-Elizabeth Anderson.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the high school trap shooting team at Tidioute Community Charter School.
The Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Youngsville have been entrusted with all arrangements. Condolences to the family may be made at nelsonfuneralhome.net.
