Marjorie A. Hook, 90, died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Kinzua Healthcare and Rehab Center in Warren, PA.
She was born on July 7, 1932 in Warren County, PA to the late Duane and Mildred (Anderson) Hook Sr. Marjorie graduated from Sugar Grove High School in the Class of 1950. She then lived and worked in offices in Warren and Jamestown, NY. She relocated to southern California in 1966 and worked for several years in the offices of the Cedar Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Marjorie returned to Warren County in the 1990’s to help care for her parents and eventually her older brother, James. Her two favorite things were, family and shopping (especially estate and rummage sales). She was a collector of jewelry, antiques and clothing and was always the photographer at all family gatherings. Marjorie was also a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in both California and Russell, PA.
She is survived by two brothers, Donald and Charles Hook; a sister, Barbara Brown; her nephews, nieces and cousins as well as her two special friends, Lynn Gorton and Norene Yerapoli.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Duane Jr.
Visitation for Marjorie will be held at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St., Youngsville, Pa 16371, on Friday, July 29, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be held there with the pastor Andrew Christiansen, of the Warren Seventh-day Adventist in Russell, PA, officiating. Burial will follow in the Hessel Valley Cemetery in Sugar Grove, PA.
