Milton “Junior” Brown, 93, of Pittsfield, PA, passed away on July 3, 2024 at Corry Manor.

He was born on November 3, 1930, in Sanford, PA, a son to the late Milton and Marie (Proper) Brown. Junior graduated from Youngsville High School with the Class of 1948. He served in the United States Marines from 1952-1954 and saw action in the Korean War. Junior was also a Merchant Marine. He received a Purple Heart commendation for bravery under fire, for carrying fellow marines to safety under heavy fire. Junior was employed as a carpenter for many years with Pittsfield Construction, upon return to civilian life. He was a superintendent through the Union #2274. He retired in 1992. He was also a member of the Tidioute AMVETS Post #8803 and also the American Legion. Junior enjoyed working around the house, gardening, hunting as well as watching jeopardy and NASCAR.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Ward Brown, who he married in 1956; his children, Linda McConnell, Tim Brown, Kevin Brown and his companion, Penny, and Sherri (Michael) Barber; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by 6 brothers, William, Kenneth, LaRue, Richard, Leonard and Earl Brown and 3 sisters, Ruth Nelson, Betty Long and Alice McGraw.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main Street, Youngsville, PA 16371 from 12-1pm at which time a funeral service will be held there with Rev. Ralph Culp. Burial will follow at the Newton Cemetery in Pittsfield. Full military honors will be provided by the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard.
