Naomi Urbanik, wife of Steve Urbanik, passed away on September 21, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William and Stella (Towner) Rea. Naomi was born in Cyclone, Pennsylvania on October 29, 1933. She was a 1951 graduate from Bradford High School.
She worked many places in Bradford before moving to Warren Pennsylvania and working at Sylvania.
She married Steve Urbanik, who survives her, on August 29, 1957. They have celebrated 65 years of marriage.
She enjoyed serving the school community by holding the office of President of Irvine Elementary School PTA. Naomi was also a member of the Pittsfield Home Extension and at one time held the position of president of the Friends of the Rouse and then later volunteered at the Rouse in the Dogwood Room.
Naomi and her husband Steve enjoyed traveling all over the United States, making 3 trips to Alaska. She also enjoyed making welcome baskets for residents of the Rouse Home, and watching her Pittsburgh Steelers play football.
She is survived by her husband Steve, son Scott and wife Sandy, daughter Catherine and husband Jim, and son John and wife Rhonda. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jason and wife Amanda, Elizabeth and husband Tim, Step-grandchildern Josh Archer and Brittney Nazario. Three great grandsons 2 great granddaughter, and 4 step great granddaughters. Her sister Delores Young and Sister-in-law Susan Rea. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews as well as extended family near and far.
Friends may call on Sunday From 2-4pm at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 North Main St. in Youngsville. A funeral service will be held there at 4pm. Burial will be in Youngsville Cemetery.
