Paul Clough, 40, of Youngsville, Pa, passed away due to a heart attack on Thursday, March 17, 2022 in the Youngsville High School wrestling room.
Paul was born March 31, 1981, in Warren, to Dean and Caryll Snader Clough, who survive him of Irvine. He was a 1999 graduate of Youngsville High School and then went on to earn his first bachelor's degree from DeVry University and his second from Western Governors University. Paul was currently employed as a substitute science teacher at both Youngsville and Eisenhower High Schools. He has also worked with students at both Warren Area High School and Sheffield High School.
In addition to his parents, Paul is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Darling Clough, whom he married May 12, 2001, celebrated over 20 years of marriage, their son, Collin Clough and his companion Reagan Chase, their daughter, Lilly Clough, his brother, Christopher Clough and his companion, Laurie Pierce-Santillanes of Pittsfield, his sister, Emily Poole and her companion, Charlie Brown, his maternal grandparents, Wesley and Barbara Snader, his nieces and nephews, Emma, Ian and Jack Darling, Carleigh and Benjamin Baxter, and Morgan and Harley Poole.
He’s also survived by his beloved wrestling families. He served as the head wrestling coach for Youngsville from 2015 to 2021 and 2021 to present as an assistant coach for Sheffield. Paul had to be the best at anything he did and encouraged others to do the same, always working hard and pushing themselves to set and achieve their goals. Paul had a passion for our counties wrestling programs that he passed on to his son Collin Clough. He always knew what his kids needed. Most would see him as just one of the kids.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, W. Harry Clough and Mildred M. Clough
Friends and family will be received on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Evangelical United Methodist Church, 18 Second St., Youngsville, Pa, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, and also on Saturday for an hour prior to a 2 pm funeral service that will be held there with the Rev. Jeff Cantor, pastor, officiating.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Paul Clough Memorial Fund c/o any Northwest Saving bank branch, funds received will be used for a scholarship for any senior wrestler in Warren County.
