Phillip Ray Beardsley Obituary
Phillip Ray Beardsley, 68, of Youngsville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at home.
He was born on May 19, 1955 in Corry, PA., to the late Murry Beardsley and Shirley Jukes Beardsley Conklin, Phil enlisted in the United States Navy after high school and was stationed in San Diego, California. Phil went on to work as a respiratory therapist for 32 years in southern California, where he met his late wife, Aida. He was a spiritual man, seeking wisdom in scriptures and lived to share the knowledge he'd found with others. He loved to play chess and enjoyed art of all kinds, but music was his main interest. Phil would play and talk music with his friends for hours. “Uncle Phil”, as he was affectionately known, will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Phil is survived by his daughter Christina (Steve) Pendleton of Perris, CA; his siblings, Marilyn (Chester) Sheets of TN, Willie (Beverly) Beardsley of FL, Pam Walters of NY and Terry (Jeff) McKown of Warren; his grandchildren, Leila Kate and Sadie Joy Ellis of CA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.
Per Phil’s wishes, no services will be held. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
Memorials may be made in Phil’s name to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
Condolences may be made to the family at nelsonfuneralhome.net.
