Ronald Cressley Obituary

Ronald A. Cressley, 76, of Warren, Pa, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Warren General Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born on March 14, 1945 in Erie, Pa, a son to the late Robert W. and Caroline “Jean” (Avery) Cressley Sr. Ron was a graduate of Youngsville High School and went on to join the US Army, heading to Korea just like his older brother, Bob. He owned and operated Cressley Trucking with some of his children and grandchildren. He was an avid truck driver for his company and also won the “1 Million Mile Award” while working for Crossett Inc. in Warren.

He deeply loved his family and enjoyed traveling and camping. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and an avid Trump supporter. Ron was a member of ABATE and the HOG Club and a former member of the Panama Fire Co., where he took advanced first aid classes to help with ambulance calls.

Ron is survived by his wife, Melinda Cressley, whom he married on March 29, 2016 in Las Vegas; his children, Bruce Cressley and his companion, Shawna Johnson, of Lititz, Pa, Marlene Einink of Spencerville, Pa, Ronda (Ben) Nelson of Youngsville, Stacey Cressley and her companion, Scott Nowacki, of N. Warren, Scott Cressley of N. Warren and Ronald B. Cressley of Youngsville; 3 step-children, Jennifer Shingler and her companion, Travis Knapp, of Pleasant Twp, David Campbell of Huntington, WV and John (Korey) Campbell of Rosemount, MN; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his special little buddy, Ryder James Campbell; his siblings, Karen Williams and Beverly Cressley, both of MS, and  Kevin (Dianna) Cressley of Ft. Wayne, IN and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Robert, Thomas and Norman Cressley and 2 sisters, Vada O’Brien and Doris Bigelow.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 19, at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St., Youngsville, Pa 16371, from 11am-1pm at which time a funeral service will be held there with Pastor David Mariner officiating. Burial will follow in the Wrightsville Cemetery where the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard will provide full military honors.
