Obituary

Ronald L. Young, 79, of Youngsville, PA, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Warren Manor.

He was born March 13, 1944, in Meadville, PA to Rex and Thelma Young. Soon after he was born, the family moved to Youngsville where he continued to reside for most of his life. He was a 1962 graduate of Youngsville High School. He graduated from Clarion University in 1966.

After graduating from college, he joined the USAF and was assigned to the 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, based in Holland.

When Ron finished his military service, he returned to Youngsville and began working at the National Forge where he met the love of his life, Diana Hansen. Ron travelled extensively for his job, recently counting 81 countries he had visited. After his retirement from the National Forge, Ron and Di started Rondivue Consulting. He was a proud member of the Youngsville American Legion Post and also of the Stillwater Lodge F&AM in Younsville.

Ron is survived by his stepchildren, Mark (Betty) Hansen of Port Orange FL, Laurie (Roger) Trescott of South Dakota and Linda Hansen of Youngsville. He is also survived by his brothers, Denny (Linda) Young of Spokane WA, Bud (Shearon) Young of MT Gilead NC and Zip Young of Youngsville. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his wife and best friend, Diana Young on January 9th of this year. They truly could not live without each other. Ron also lost his only sister, Susan Young Alexander, in 2011.

A memorial service will be held in the fall. It was one of Ron’s favorite seasons.
