Ruby Mae Cottrell 84, of Garland, PA., called home by the Lord on Monday, September 5, 2022.
Ruby was born on December 21, 1937, in Left Hand, West Virginia, to the late Lonzo “Buck” and Ona Potts. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tidioute PA and the Garland Volunteer Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from the Warren County School district as a custodian in 2001. Ruby had several hobbies, including crocheting, quilting, and sewing. Her passions were her family, gardening and bird watching.
She is survived by her children Wilma Crane of Spring Creek, Lisa Cheryl Hultberg of Garland, and Preston Cottrell of Youngsville; sisters Billie Nichols, Mary Nichols and Alice Conley; brother Gene (Carolyn) Potts; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Cottrell and a son, Robert Matthew “Matt” Cottrell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday October 22nd, at the First Baptist Church, 218 Main St. Tidioute, PA. 16351 at 1:00 PM with the Deacon Ken Nicholson officiating. Condolences may be made to the family at nelsonfuneralhome.net.
