Russell A. "Butch" Glenn Obituary

Russell A. “Butch” Glenn, 58, of Tidioute, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023 at UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie.



He was born on July 30, 1964, a son to the late Frances (Johnson) Davis and Russell E. Glenn Sr. who survives him of Titusville, PA. Butch graduated from Tidioute High School in 1982 and worked at the New Process Co. until his disability on November 5, 1986. He loved to play cards and spend time with his family. Butch was an avid volunteer at the Second Harvest Produce Express in Tidioute. For many years, he was a member of the PA State Championship Fishing Tournament and also a member of the Tidioute VFW, Tidioute American Legion and Tidioute VFD Auxiliary.



In addition to his father, Butch is survived by his daughter, LaRenda K. Martin; 4 grandchildren, Tayton, Zerick and Zayla Jackman and Craig Holmes (all of which are his pride and joy); his good friend, Terri Davison and her children, Kyle, Kylei, Kallei and Emalie, (in his heart, these are his children also); seven sisters, Linda (Leonard) Walton of Godley, TX, Kathie Whiteheart of King, NC, Sheryl Hulings, Sherry (Frank) Buccardo and Tammie (Shawn) Silvis all of Tidioute, Joan (Jim) Riemenschneider of CO and June (Nathan) Brown of Jersey Shore, PA; two brothers, William “Bill” “BJ” Johnson of Tidioute and Frank (Mary) Davis of AZ; two step-sisters, Angela (Larry) Mohney of Irvine and Terrie (Russell) Downing of Jamestown, PA; seven step-brothers, Fred (Shirley) Peters of Youngsville, Larry (Kathryn) Peters of Cary, NC, Troy (Sandy) McManus of ND, Larry (Barb) Johnson of Youngsville, Michael (Heather) Johnson and Kenneth (Julie) Johnson both of Warren and Steven (Jennifer) Johnson of Russell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.



In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Leo S. Davis; two step-mothers, Joann Polizzi Glenn and Merna Best Glenn; his brothers, Russell E. Glenn Jr., Gary Davis, Terry Lee Holmes, Gerald Davis, Fuzzy Holmes and Phillip Todd McManus and his sisters, Shirley Davis, Sandra Nelson, Patricia VanArdsdale and Candy Glenn.



A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 3pm at the Tidioute Firehall, 224 Main St., Tidioute, PA 16351.



Memorial donations may be made to the PA State Championship Fishing Tournament, 90 Main Street, Tidioute, PA 16351.
