Sherryn K. Martin Obituary

Sherryn K. Martin, 76 of Youngsville, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday October 27, 2022 at Warren general Hospital.


Sherryn was born April 4, 1946 in Jamestown, NY to the late Frank and Virginia Crosley Smith. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School and had worked at Blair Corp. for a number of years and then for the Youngsville Borough as the Clerk for a number of years.  Her great loves in her life where her family, friends and her pets. She was a member of the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church and enjoyed doing crafts, going to the casino, shopping and visiting with people. 


Sherryn is survived by her loving husband John, whom she married in 1977 in  Russell, her sons, Gary (Nancy) Martin of Great Falls, Montana, Dennis and his fiance  Emily Boling of Sevierville, Tenn, John Martin Jr of Erie, Pa and Paul (Debbie) Slagle of North Warren and two brothers, Frank (Debbie) Smith of Ashboro, NC and Todd  (Jane) Smith of Norfolk, VA, 4 grandchildren Brenden (Michelle) Martin, Kahle Martin and Paul and Shawn Slagle, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.


Friends and family will be received on Tuesday from 4-7pm at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Youngsville. A funeral service will be held there on Wednesday at 11 am with the Rev. PJ Cathcart, pastor of the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will follow in the Youngsville Cemetery.


The family strongly suggests memorial donations in Sherryn’s  name be made to the Sugar Grove Methodist Church 210 Jamestown St. Sugar Grove, PA 16350. Condolences to the family may be made at www.nelsonfuneralhome.net.
