Steven Brown, 72, of Russell, passed away peacefully Friday September 1, 2023 at his
residence.
He was born February 26, 1951 in Jamestown to the late Alexander and Mayme (Burt) Brown.
Steven graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1969 and joined the Army where he was an
MP. He worked as a mason for the State for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going on walks with his loyal dog Moose. He also liked traveling with his family and watching the Boston Red Sox, his favorite team. Most of all he loved being with his girls.
He is survived by his loving wife Marcie (Black) Brown, whom he married on January 20, 1979
in Warren, his daughters, Stephanie Brown and her partner Justin Bosilovich, of New
Castle, Samantha (Christian) Valtos of Nazareth, PA Margaret Brown of Pittsburgh, 3 brothers,
John Brown of Bear Lake, Charles Brown of Westfield, NY, David Brown of Russell, a sister,
Kathy Strauser of Sheridan, and 2 grandchildren, Grace and Charlotte Valtos.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Linda Brown and Donna
Cinnamond.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday at 11am at Pellegrino’s Pavilion off of
Conewango Ave in Warren.
